Unless exempt, a charitable organization must register with the North Dakota Secretary of State before soliciting charitable contributions in North Dakota.

Out-of-state nonprofits must provide a completed Certificate of Authority Foreign Corporation Application (Form SFN 13100) and name a registered agent residing in North Dakota.
